DRA has been at the cutting edge of diamond recovery technology for over 20 years and has designed and supplied diamond processing plants for leading mining houses on five continents. Plants designed and built by us range in size from modular geological sampling units to 2 000tph production plants, and can treat ores ranging from alluvial to marine, and fissure to kimberlite. The unit processes used to achieve this includes crushing, disagglomeration, panning, jigging, DMS, HPRCs, magnetic separation and x-ray sorting.
Our expertise in mineral processing is exemplified in the robust, ‘go-anywhere’ DMS plant we designed for diamond and mineral exploration sampling and recovery. This self-contained, modular plant, with feed tonnages from 1 to 5tph is capable of recovering diamonds and diamond indicator grains down to 300 microns.
DRA has designed and constructed:
- the largest DMS diamond and recovery plant installed on a sea going vessel
- modular diamond processing plants for the treatment of ocean gravels
- diamond recovery plants in Canada and the Arctic Circle
- the first full-scale and entirely mobile diamond recovery plant for Namdeb in Southern Africa
- a fully integrated plant built in the Australian Outback
To date the DRA group have managed in excess of 30 diamond concentration and/or recovery projects and are presently managing the Letseng operation.
